The Week: September 20, 2013
I feel like the March Hare, running around in a frenzy – no time to say hello, goodbye! I’m late, I’m late, I’m late!
The thing is, I’m not actually late to anything. I just feel like it, because I’m sitting here at my computer nine floors up, and all around me the city of New York is rushing about, bright and alive and busy. Every minute I spend in this hotel room is one less minute I spend exploring the city – so you can understand my rush. Why I feel like I’m late, that I’m missing out on something important.
I’ve got to go. No time to say goodbye, hello! Here are this week’s links.

Because why can’t Captain America wear a turban?

Les Carpenter’s take on the Seahawks/49ers rivalry is downright poetic.

This comic is absolutely beautiful. Life isn’t about finding the right answers. It’s about collecting the right questions.

Apparently it’s time to retire the ignoble washcloth.

OMG. OMG. OMG. I am geeking out over the fact that Walt Whitman and Oscar Wilde totally did it (probably).

The Public Shaming Tumblr calls out bigoted and hateful Twitter accounts. You’ll be thrilled at seeing justice served (people should be held accountable for their ignorance), but horrified by how many idiots can actually use a computer.

Britney and Justin, Reese and Ryan, Rita and Orson – Old Loves is dedicated to romances that didn’t last. It’s almost as much fun as looking up your exes on Facebook.

One woman’s account of what it’s like to shop at Whole Foods hits just a little too close to home.

This is the best halftime speech, ever.

I giggled, audibly, and I don’t even have any pets: the text messages your cat would send if it would have a smartphone. (via @SoloFriendly)

“Much worse that that disaster at the super bowl with one of the jackson girls.” – You guys, the Miley Cyrus FCC complaints are AMAZING.
